Resolutions
Get Healthy
Jan 1st
If I have one BIG resolution, it is to do the right things to get get healthy. At the moment, I can’t think much beyond the toothache that I hoped was caused by the sinus/eye/gum infection I’ve had for the last month. Alas, it is a cavity and I’ll be calling my new dentist early tomorrow morning.
But the big ticket item is to lose weight, eat right and exercise regularly. Eva got me an exercise bike for xmas! And she is, of course, a great cook of healthy, albeit mostly vegetarian meals.
Losing weight it not a new topic. A couple of years back, I started the new year by losing 75 pounds. Too bad I found most of them. This time will be different.
I checked in with my doctor on Wednesday, for the eye infection, at 260 lbs with a BP of 148/100. So I’m on HZTC for 90 days. My at-home CVS BP cuff just read 155/100 so I guess, especially at 50, I can’t afford to ignore it.
Baby steps…

Millions of people are making their new year’s resolutions. Eva has asked me several times about both new resolutions and also reflections on the past year. She has mentioned categories: personal, professional, social, spiritual, etc. She couldn’t remember all of them, said there were seven.
Ok, here is my first resolution: This year I will not make a large list of major resolutions on New Year’s day; I will make a resolution, large or small, whenever it strikes me as being the right thing to do.
Alas, I do have a large list of resolutions. Ok, those things (health especially) are important. But lets start small and see how many we can keep.
Thus began my 2010 year of resolutions.
Fresh Start, 2010

Every year, I think about starting a new website. I make a resolution that this year, this website, will be the one.
I’ve worked with computers and the Internet since 1977. I had one of the first commercial websites, gems.com, back in 1993. I managed Internet operations at AOL, from the first web hit to when we had a larger audience than CNN.
But history tells me that I don’t have the right stuff to build and maintain a personal website. Well, until now.
Time will tell; you be the judge; yada yada yada
